The range of acetals are known for their excellent environmental and favourable toxicology profiles allowing them to potentially be the green solvents of the future. Since some of them are not regulated by the Global Harmonized System (GHS) or CLP Regulation pictograms, the acetals are potentially suited to replace toxic solvents commonly available in the market.
